1. Who We Are

LexPod Learn is operated by Standclear Medical Education (Ltd), based in the United Kingdom.
For privacy matters, please contact: admin@medpodlearn.com

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the personal data reasonably necessary to provide and improve LexPod Learn. This may include:

  • your name, email address, and professional or educational role;
  • account and learning activity, such as episode completion, saved content, quiz or MCQ progress, and similar learning records;
  • technical information, such as device or browser type, app version, crash logs, and analytics data;
  • cookie and similar technology data used for platform functionality and limited analytics.

We do not create or generally provide transcripts of third-party podcast audio unless we clearly state otherwise for a specific feature.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • provide access to the LexPod Learn platform and its features;
  • track learning activity, reflective CPD, or continuing competence activity where relevant;
  • send reminders, service messages, and educational suggestions;
  • improve the platform through analytics, testing, and crash reporting;
  • send optional newsletters or updates where you have chosen to receive them;
  • comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users, and platform.

We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Depending on the purpose, we rely on the lawful basis that best fits the processing activity. This may include:

  • contract, where processing is necessary to provide your account or the service you have requested;
  • consent, where you choose to receive optional marketing, notifications, or similar opt-in communications;
  • legitimate interests, where we use data in a proportionate way to operate, secure, and improve LexPod Learn;
  • legal obligation, where we are required to keep, disclose, or otherwise process information by law.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time

5. Sharing Your Data

We share personal data only with trusted service providers who help us operate LexPod Learn, such as providers for:

  • hosting and cloud infrastructure;
  • analytics and crash reporting;
  • email and communications;
  • customer support;
  • limited AI-assisted educational tooling, where used.

We require relevant providers to handle data only for authorised purposes and with appropriate protections in place. Your personal data is not sold or monetised.

6. International Transfers

Some service providers may store or process personal data outside the UK. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to EU standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism recognised under UK data protection law.

7. Use of Podcast Audio

LexPod Learn does not claim ownership of third-party podcast audio. Podcast audio remains the property of the original creators or other rights holders and is streamed or embedded from authorised or public sources where available. Our educational materials are created around that audio, but the audio itself is not treated as LexPod-owned content.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal data;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
  • request restriction of processing in certain circumstances;
  • object to certain uses of your data;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent;
  • complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully.

Some of these rights are subject to conditions and exceptions under applicable law.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the website or app. We may also use limited analytics cookies or similar technologies. Where consent is required, we will ask for it. We do not use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising trackers.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes set out in this policy, including while your account is active and for any period needed to meet legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or record-keeping requirements. When we no longer need personal data, we will delete or anonymise it.
